Hertfordshire Cub Scouts

Recent Events Cub Cyclocross 2009 The Annual County Cub Cyclocross was held at Well End Activity Centre near Borehamwood. We had 18 teams, from 9 Districts take part this year. Over 70 Cubs took part in the afternoon of cycling around a course in the woods involving several obstacles, and an agility course. Elstree & Borehamwood won the trophy. Click the photo, or here to view the Photo Gallery, or contact us for more information Cub Night Hike 2009 The County Cub Night Hike was held in Hemel Hempstead on Sat/Sun 19th/20th September. Approx 600 Cubs supported by approx 250 Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Leaders and helpers, took part in a Night Hike which involved a walk of approx 8miles with various incidents on route around the countryside just outside of Hemel Hempstead, followed by an overnight stay in a local school. Unfortunately we are unable to provide prints. 6-a-side Football 2009 The County Cub Football was held on Sun 10th May in Chorleywood. 10 teams of Cubs from around Hertfordshire took part. The weather was very hot, and very sunny. After playing 9 closely fought games, Watford South were declared the winners. Rickmansworth & Chorleywood came 2nd, closely followed only by goal difference by East Herts in 3rd. Cubs swam heats in Front Crawl, Breaststroke and Backstroke with the fastest 5 going to the finals. The eventual winners where Potters Bar.
