6-a-side Football 2008
The County Cub Football was held on Sun 11th May in Chorleywood. 10 teams of Cubs from around Hertfordshire took part. The weather was very hot, and very sunny. After playing 9 games, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood were declared the winners for the 2nd year, with East Herts 'A' team coming 2nd. Harpenden & Wheathampstead came 3rd, Hertford came 4th, and Watford South 'A' came 5th.

Cub Swim Gala 2008
The annual County Cub Swimming Gala was held at Westminster Lodge in St Albans on Sat 15th March. 10 teams from across Hertfordshire took part. Cubs swam heats in Front Crawl, Breaststroke and Backstroke with the fastest 6 going to the finals. The eventual winners where East Herts. Click to View Photos or Contact Us for more information

Cub Cyclocross 2007
The Annual County Cub Cyclocross was held at Well End Activity Centre near Borehamwood. We had 20 teams, from 9 Districts take part this year. Over 80 Cubs took part in the afternoon of cycling around a course in the woods involving several obstacles, and an agility course.

Cub Night Hike 2007
The County Cub Night Hike was held in Hemel Hempstead on Sat/Sun 22nd/23rd September. Nearly 500 Cubs supported by nearly 250 Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Leaders and helpers , took part in a Night Hike which involved a walk of approx 7miles with various incidents on route around the countryside just outside of Hemel Hempstead, followed by an overnight stay in a local school.

GOSH Cheque Presentation at Paradise Wildlife Park
Bob Cooper, was joined by 15 Cubs and Leaders at Paradise Wildlife Park to present a cheque for £11,118.95 to Kacey Ainsworth and Linda Robson on behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity Everyone enjoyed a fun-packed day touring the Animal Park, and taking part in the GOSH Friend's Fun Day entertainment. The County Cub Football was held on Sun 13th May in Stevenage. 12 teams of Cubs from around Hertfordshire took part. The weather did not hold out, and torrential rain eventually stopped play after each team had played about 6 games. After some complex calculations, Ricky and Chorleywood were declared the winners, with Harpenden & Wheathampstead 'A' team coming 2nd. St Albans came 3rd, Watford South 'A' 4th, and Stevenage 'A' 5th.

90th Birthday Bash
Our year of Funraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital came to a clsoe with a giant Birthday Bash for over 500 Cub Scouts from across Hertfordshire. Over 30 activities based on the decades of Scouting where run by adult volunteers throughout the day. We had Mayors and Mayoress visit us in the afternoon for the cheque presenation to GOSH.
